A 150kV solar system has been installed on the iconic KMC building, a landmark of Karachi’s governance. Furthermore, an agreement with K-Electric has been signed to implement an 80kV net metering system, enabling the excess solar energy generated to be fed back into the grid. This not only reduces electricity bills but also promotes energy efficiency by leveraging Sindh’s ample solar potential.
This milestone marks a shift toward sustainable urban governance, reflecting KMC’s commitment to tackling energy challenges and climate change.
