The Digital Media Outlet Alliance of Sindh (Digi Sindh) and Sindh Climate have announced a strategic collaboration to tackle climate change by leveraging the power of media outlets across the province. This partnership aims to ensure that climate-related issues in Sindh receive the attention they deserve from local digital media platforms.
A meeting between Digi Sindh representatives and the CEO of Sindh Climate was held on December 15 to outline key objectives and strategies for this initiative. The discussion also touched on the process of granting membership to new media outlets for Digi Sindh, as well as reviewing the progress achieved since the alliance’s inception.
Digi Sindh, launched just a few months ago, has rapidly emerged as a representative body for independent digital media outlets in Sindh. With its founding organizations—Chehra Digital, Sindh Climate, and Sindh Matters—it seeks to amplify local voices on critical issues, including climate change, by building the capacity of digital media houses in the region.
The collaboration emphasizes the vital role of media in raising awareness, driving public discourse, and holding stakeholders accountable for environmental sustainability in Sindh. Through collective efforts, the alliance aims to strengthen the province’s response to its growing climate challenges.
